Scott Rippetoe - Service Technician
After teaching physics and electronics for thirty years, Scott Rippetoe retired from the classroom in 2013. One of his responsibilities in his next role for a school district was repairing microscopes and balances. He also trained others to do routine microscope maintenance and basic repairs.
Scott also mentors a high school robotics team where he is constantly challenged to learn new skills, including CNC machining, programming, and sensor electronics.
In his spare time, Scott volunteers at a resale shop where he tests and repairs electronics. The resale shop supports a center for victims of domestic abuse. He is also an avid photographer and enjoys travelling. He also makes jewelry and other small items through flameworking or fusing glass.
